Dese are the days of my life,

That picture barely mashingup me and my wife,

I feel it want banning off of my TV,

Before that woman miss and kill me.

Shane Stiffy Atkinson,

(Days Of My Life).

These lines from Shane Stiffy Atkinson.s new song Days Of My Life have been creating quite a stir in Barbados since its release on Bajantube a few weeks ago.

The evening soap opera Days Of Our Lives is very popular in Barbadian households and Stiffy is back this year to offer his social commentary on the prime-time TV programme.

"This is something that happens every day in households; everyone seems to have this Days Of Our Lives craze now, and all that I am singing about is what happens between six and seven on evenings.

I am basically signing about what everyone else is talking about," said the 27-year-old H&B Hardware sales associate.

The self-penned number follows the controversial I Carr My Sheep In Town , his debut offering for Crop Over 2011.

However, the Rose Hill, St Peter resident said he's not affected by negative comments.

"I cool; I don't take the negative comments to heart. Some people will like it and some won.t. That is life, and I have learnt to deal with it" he said.

However, Days Of Our Lives is not the only song Stiffy has released this year. Getting some airplay are Delete and Gimme De Horn, both about things that go on daily in society.

"I sing about everyday happenings. Delete deals with the current BlackBerry obsession. Everyone has a BlackBerry and BBM these days.

Gimme De Horn is talking about a horn that I got," said the entertainer.

And he is not finished writing as yet.

He revealed that he is still working onother songs for the season.

"I am really excited about bringing out a CD for Crop Over 2012. I write every chance I get. Hopefully I can finish the CD shortly", he added.

Stiffy will be entering the Party Monarch competition this year and, like last year, is bringing hisown contingent.

"The fan support is phenomenal. They know the songs already and like them. So I am happy".
